Nazara launches ‘CricBet’ – a real time prediction based cricket game offering second screen experience

Mumbai. April 21, 2016: India’s largest mobile game developer and publisher Nazara games today announced its investment in Mastermind Sports, a London based mobile gaming studio. Mastermind Sports is also ready to launch its first game ‘CricBet,’ a real time prediction game offering second screen experience. Nazara has invested 26% stake in Mastermind Sports after a recent investment in London based gaming studio Truly Social.

Mastermind Sports is founded by London sports gaming entrepreneur Tom McCall and Bangalore tech entrepreneur Pratik Shah. “Our focus is the ‘second screen’ experience. To achieve this, Mastermind Sports has spent 2 years building a real-time prediction platform. The game ‘CricBet’ is a live prediction game where users stake virtual coins on what they think is about to happen during a match. There are 8 prediction markets where one can predict the next boundary to be scored; guessing the number of runs off the next over, whether a batsman will score over 50 runs or not. With leader boards, levels, tournaments and a forum to interact with other fans, CricBet is the first truly social and competitive cricket game to reach the Indian market since Fantasy Cricket appeared over 10 years ago.
