Nazara Games invests a majority stake Nextwave Multimedia (November 2017)

Mumbai, November, 2017: Nazara Games, a global mobile gaming company, today invested a majority stake of 51% in Chennai based Nextwave Multimedia. The acquired company will continue to manage operations out of its Chennai headquarters while Mumbai based Nazara will overlook / control——————-.

Commenting on the new partnership, CEO of Nazara Games, Manish Agarwal said,

 “Nazara has been looking at strategic markets in the space of sports gaming companies and developers. This acquisition fits perfectly into our strategy of extending outreach and expanding our sports format.”

He further adds, “As mobile play continues its rapid growth, Next Wave’s leadership position, great games, and established network of users makes Nazara a more meaningful player in digital gaming.”

The company strength lies in its ability to leverage Indian IPs (Intellectual properties) like Virat Kolhi, Chhota Bheem, Hrithik Roshan among others.
